Children’s Mental Health Week: Sadness

Sadness

Feeling sad can make your child feel low. It can appear when things aren’t going well or when they have lost something/someone.

See below for how sadness can affect your child and things they can do to help manage it 👇

Accept the emotion.

Tell them it’s ok to feel sad. Discuss what made them feel sad, how they reacted to the sadness and what they could do next time.
