Families Continuous Attitude Survey (FamCAS)

What do you think about Service family life? Take part in FamCAS and help Defence to better meet your needs.

The Families Continuous Attitude Survey (FamCAS) closes on Monday 22 April 2024 – have you checked if you can take part?

FamCAS is an anonymous, tri-Service survey which invites a sample of spouses/civil partners of regular serving personnel to share their attitudes and experiences of Service family life. Hearing from you will help Defence to better understand your challenges and meet your needs.

Don’t miss out – check if you’ve been invited for FamCAS

To check if you’ve been invited to take part in FamCAS, and for details on how to access the survey, visit the online eligibility tool. Please use Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.

The eligibility tool and survey will ask for a token/access code, which is your partner’s Service number. Please be assured that this is for security reasons only, and all responses will be anonymous.

Why your voice is important…

FamCAS results provide senior policy makers in Defence with invaluable information and evidence to guide policy change. Here are some examples of Defence’s positive initiatives and policy that are informed by FamCAS feedback:

* Improving childcare through the Wraparound Childcare Scheme.

* Helping children from armed forces families to thrive in education. Last year the MOD and the Armed Forces Covenant Trust launched the Service Pupil Support Programme to improve the educational pathway of Service children.

* Providing Defence with a greater understanding of what might be stopping families from being able to access timely integrated, mental and physical health and wellbeing services.

The more families that complete the survey, the more Defence will understand what changes need to be prioritised, in areas that matter the most to you and your family.

Not been invited for FamCAS, but want to give feedback?

If you haven’t been invited to take part in this year’s FamCAS, don’t worry! To share your views on Service family life, please fill in this short survey. This survey is also anonymous and will be analysed as part of FamCAS.
