The Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust has announced the 119 grants, totalling just over £2m, which it has made in its “Veterans Should Not Be Forgotten” programme. The aim is support vulnerable veterans currently experiencing reduced social contact.
Two organisations in North Yorkshire have been successful:
Age UK North Yorkshire and Darlington – Veteran Support North Yorkshire & Darlington project - £19,735
Age UK Scarborough & District – Veterans Above and Beyond project - £18,400
