E42-E19/A7 - Obourg - Jemappes: works resume.
Works on the E42-E19/A7 between Obourg and Jemappes will gradually resume Monday, Feb. 24. As announced before, the work will mainly focus on the three structures spread over 3 km.
On the highway:
As of Monday, Feb. 24, works will resume with traffic being limited to two lanes in direction of Mons.
As of Monday, March 9, traffic will be limited to two lanes in each direction over a 3 km stretch between Nimy/Maisières and the end of Pont-Canal with speed limits set at 70km/h. (see Picture 1)
Interchange #23 Nimy/Maisières
As of Monday, March 9, drivers coming from France, will not be able to exist #23 Nimy/Maisières. Drivers have to continue on the highway until exit #22 Obourg where a turn-around will be possible. (see Picture 2)
Jemappes Interchange
Works are going on to renovate the bridge deck on the section that links the R5 to the E42/E-19-A7 in direction of France. Traffic will remain possible on this section.
N6-N56 (see picture 3)
During the period March 9-24, some works on the bridge over the N6 and the N56 will result in a reduction of the traffic lanes on both the N6 and N56, when needed.
Works are expected to last until mid-July 2020
