Are you moving back to the U.K.? Don’t forget to apply for Nursery and Childminders as soon as you receive your A.O. as they do get booked up very quickly.
You can also apply for School Places in advance for in-year School Moves as a Military Family with the Armed Forces Covenant, and you can still apply through the main admissions process for Year 1 and Year 7 with your permanent U.K. or Unit Address.
The dates of application for Year 1 and Year 7 are:

Applying for secondary school place | 31st October | 1st March |
Please be aware that there are some nuances in different counties of the U.K. and if a school is administered on an Infants, Juniors or Middle School system, so do check the local area County Council page to which you are posting when applying for school places.
