What a huge achievement from the whole UK SHAPE Community!
We won the “Best Display” award in a competition co-run by Never Such Innocence and The Armed Forces Education Trust.
There were many entries from UK Armed Forces communities and schools across the globe, and the standard was very high, so this is such an achievement to be celebrated.
The biggest of thanks goes to our brilliant volunteer Amy Roberts and our former CLO Rosie McEwan who led the project with fantastic vision, with the whole community team running a series of workshops for all the ages from a few months old to our oldest teens.
We have been awarded £250 to spend on books to benefit all the children in the community and we have started discussions about how to do best deliver this.
If you want to see all the winners here is the winners booklet.
Many Congratulations also to young Erin, one of our SHAPE Children, who won the age 8-11 Royal Navy/Royal Marines child category.
