Live concerts, traditional entertainment and a giant bonfire with a torchlight procession is the way to celebrate Summer Solstice and Saint John the Baptist’s birthday in Belgium.
This celebration serves to honour the sun, seek its favour for the harvest and celebrate the Saint’s birthday all in one. Today it’s all about bringing people together with a joyful atmosphere whilst honouring these age old traditions.
