Carnival Season is coming to the Walloon Region

Cheerfulness is at the heart of Walloon life, where folkloric traditions thrive in modern times and are eagerly anticipated.


February/March time welcomes not just spring, but also the vibrant carnival season! There is plenty to see, from the Gilles at the Binche Carnival, to the Haguètes in Malmedy before Easter or the festivities post-Lent in Bouge (near Namur), Fosses-la-Villes or Stavelot, don’t miss out on the traditions of the region whilst you are here.
