Drielandenpunt: The tri-border point

If you are looking for a day out with less of a festive focus, Drielandenpunt is a great shout.

Once the only place in the world where the borders of four countries met, when Neutral Moresnet was awarded to Belgium soon after the First World War, Vierlandenpunt became Drielandenpunt.

Drielandenpunt is the precise point where Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands meet (see photos), you can visit three countries in all of 3 seconds! There is also a viewing tower just in Belgium, and a maze and a fantastic restaurant in the Netherlands, complete with an open fire and the feel of a ski-lodge.

Drielandenpunt is also home to the highest point in the Netherlands at 322m and a small stone plaque marks the spot for your photo opportunities.
