Youth Mental Health First Aid Course in EJSU

The two day Youth MHFA course is an internationally recognised course designed specifically for those people that teach, live or work with aged 8 to 18 years.
The aims of the course are to:Provide information, tools and techniques to promote a young person's mental and emotional wellbeingEnable you to support a young person who might be experiencing mental and emotional distress.
By the end of the course you will have learned how to:
Spot the early signs of a mental health issue in young peopleFeel confident helping a young person experiencing mental ill healthProvide help on a first aid basisHelp protect a young person who might be at risk of harmHelp prevent a mental health issue from getting worseHelp a young person recover fasterGuide a young person towards the right supportReduce the stigma of mental health issues.
Date: 29-30th November 2017 – you will need to attend both dates
