Message from the QM department: As you will all be aware, the Post Office has for the last 2 weeks been unable to conduct international bank transactions due to technical faults.
A number of agencies both in the UK and in Belgium have been involved in trying to rectify this problem. It has been identified that the CISCO Router (gateway to the Royal Mail Banking system) within the post room needs to be replaced. This item is the property of the Royal Mail and they are in the process of building and configuring this specialised oversees variant. BFPO London are on standby to collect the Router and deliver it straight to Shape once it is ready and it is hoped that this will finally resolve the current problem.

Unfortunately the situation may still take a few more days to resolve but normal routine mail and parcel services are still available; there is no way to issue cash without the online banking system. Whilst local alternatives to draw cash are available, anyone facing severe problems with meeting bills due to a lack of ability to obtain local currency should contact the Shape Admin Office on ext 4996/4461 for urgent assistance. Further updates will be sent once more information is available.
